Making Waves Foundation

Big News from Our Family: Introducing the Making Waves Foundation + Our First Community Event!

We hope you’re enjoying your summer — we certainly have been! Between promoting Sanaa’s book, attending exciting events and workshops, and diving into the world of college applications (yes, Sanaa is heading into her senior year of high school already!), it’s been a busy and meaningful season for our family.

But we have even more exciting news to share: we’ve started a nonprofit — the Making Waves Foundation!

This new initiative was born from a deep need in our community: to teach water safety and promote access to swimming so that everyone — regardless of background — can enjoy the water safely and confidently. Our goal is to ensure that drowning prevention and swim education are accessible, equitable, and life-saving.
